Rocket French is a course designed to teach French to non-native speakers over a very short period of time. This is invaluable if the person is planning to visit a French-speaking country, interacts regularly with French-speaking people, is studying French or is just aiming to boost his/her personal credentials for gaining better career opportunities. It is highly interactive in nature, and dynamic enough to keep the student interested throughout the length of the course. It is designed keeping practicality as one of the topmost priorities, and it allows the student to deal with all types of interactional situations with ease.The Rocket French course consists of a total of 31 well-designed interactive audio lessons which is about 20 minutes long on average and also 45 grammar lessons.
The interactive part of the audio lessons involves speaking the sentences and pronunciation chunks after the native speaker and answering the questions that the narrator might ask. If the narrator asks a question, there will be a pause that allows you to answer, then the native French speaker will give the correct answer.
Rocket French also comes equipped with a number of word-building games called MegaVocab, MegaAudio and MegaVerbs.
MegaVocab is designed to boost your vocabulary skills. A great feature to this game is that it allows you to add your own pictures and words as well, which means you can use this game for as long as you’re learning to speak French.
MegaAudio contains over 1000 words over 20 different topics. This game helps improve your recognition and pronunciation of French words, which is an important part of learning to speak French.
MegaVerbs is primarily made for students at the intermediate to advanced level. I think this game is still useful for other purposes, however. This game gets you used to how the verbs in French are used, and how they change through the different tenses. This game may not be useful to everyone, but really its just the icing on the cake.
The price of Rocket French is $99.95 for the download version. If you are serious about learning the French language, then I think it’s a worthwhile investment.
